Trade Domains.org is a project established by Rian Visser and William Duvenhage. This project was inspired when we attempted a career at domaining, and miserably failed at it - with no knowledge or any experience whatsoever!
During 2005 we saw the many successes and the nature of domaining on the Internet. Subsequently we saw the possibilities in ensuring generous income from this industry.
We started our career in registering and acquiring in excess of 300 domain names, domain names we thought would make us 'millionaires' - until we started our attempts at selling them on domainer forums and aftermarkets. As mentioned, we failed. Our domain names were not in demand, and in instances, most did not even sell at less than registration fees!
We gave away our portfolio - losing thousands of Dollars - some domain names not even wanted by others! We realized that domaining was not that easy and decided to research the domaining industry.
After our research we started afresh. This time round we knew what to look for, what domains to register or acquire, which held monetary value, which held investment potential and how to go about selling domains and making profit from them.
In less than a year we have built an investment portfolio, currently appraised at an amount exceeding $75 000 and growing on a daily basis! Today our portfolio even generates a generous monthly income, without us having to sell our valuable domain names!

Many might ask us - 'How did you do that?'. Well, that is the purpose of this website.
We have decided to establish Trade Domains.org with the aim of sharing our knowledge, experience, tools, resources, hints, tips and much more! This website will assist any newcomer to domaining in starting a successful career in domaining, and not fall prey to the many traps in domaining we have!
